Harmony at Home has been trading at 30 Govett’s Leap Road at Blackheath (Blue Mountains) for the past 13 years. There is also a store down the Mountains at Richmond. The proprietor is Jock Ferguson.
I just love the many Australian themed goods they stock. In the following photo the kookaburra mug, the paper napkins, and the blue wren plate all came from Harmony at Home. How cool it is to find napkins that match your flowers! 💚
We have also used the shop extensively in setting up Acer Corner, our short stay guest accommodation. International visitors are so appreciative of the Aussie touches, especially the tea towels featuring our beautiful native birds.
Sometimes I buy one for the studio and one for myself. These are Rose Robins, which recent guest were lucky enough to spot on a bushwalk to Govett’s Leap.
See those wooden display ladders in the background? The shop sign is hidden under there. 😎
They sell scarves and clothes too, although I am not a fashion person and have never really looked at the range properly. It is partly a gift shop, and partly a practical store for inexpensive china, placemats & coasters, kitchenware and well, all manner of things I find hard to resist.
CHRISTMAS IS COMING 🧑🎄

This little shop really does produce Harmony at Home, well except when I give my partner Rob morning tea on a blue wren plate and he immediately drops it on stone paving!
Guess what’s in that flat Christmas gift? Yes, Santa has brought my beloved a replacement plate. Not exactly what he was hoping for. 😎

Harmony at Home sounds a veritable Aladdin’s Cave!
My favourite little shop in the village.
