The Blackheath General Store café, in conjunction with next door’s long-standing Piedmont Inn, celebrated its 3rd birthday by launching an exciting new venture; a fantastic programme of cultural events and workshops. What a line-up. I honestly think there must be something here for everyone.

Our beloved ‘Bleakheath’ turned on rain and mist for the launch, but nothing could dampen the festivities. The café and the gallery space upstairs were crowded with well-wishers. Champagne and seemingly limitless trays of goodies were enjoyed by all.
One of my very first visits to the café was to get some writing done away from the distractions of home and garden. I suspect there may be even more distractions for me there now!
